PMI organized a two-day L&D Meet on April 22-23, 2024 which was attended by Heads of RLIs, Executives of EDCs across NTPC stations besides PMI executives.

Ms Rachana Singh Bhal, CGM (PMI) welcomed the delegates and outlined various initiatives undertaken during 2023-24 and discussed the future plans pertaining to L&D at company level. Subsequently, RLI-Heads presented new initiatives undertaken during FY 2023-24 as well as future programmes scheduled for FY 2024-25.

The Meet included several presentations on key L&D issues, such as the emerging landscape in L&D by E&Y Learning solutions, emerging energy policy scenario and implications for L&D by Prof. Sajal Ghosh, MDI, Gurgaon, Artificial Intelligence & Human Intelligence : For a Better ROI by SHRM, session on PMI library E Subscription by Odilo and apprenticeship engagement by BOAT.

The valedictory session was addressed by Shri D K Patel, Director (HR), Shri Anil Kumar Jadli, CGM (HR) and Ms Rachana Singh Bhal, CGM & Head (PMI). Director (HR) launched CP/AP/SAP e-exam portal, e-modules for Safety, Chemistry and Renewable Energy, VR modules for Solar PV power plants and TNA Free Text Analysis tool. During the valedictory session, Director (HR) emphasized that all training should be focussed, need-based, and targeted. He also congratulated Team PMI, RLI, and EDC Heads on their good work as well as the various awards and recognition received at the national and international level for the year 2023-24.
